We are taking course bookings for 2021
If you are new to archery, had a go while on holiday or haven’t shot in a very long time, our beginner’s course is the place to start.
Each beginner’s course runs across two days. These last approximately 4 hours. During the beginner’s course you will have tuition from 1-2 members of our coaching team.
Over the two sessions you will learn:
– how to shoot a recurve bow safely and consistently
– about the different types of bow including recurve (as used in the Olympics), longbow and field bows
– how to score and shoot in competitions
All equipment required will be provided by the club for the duration of the course. All you need to do is to bring yourself.
The course fees are £50 for adults and £25 for under 18’s, this price includes a weekend session, equipment and insurance cover.
The course is suitable for all ages from 11 and up. All juniors must be accompanied by a parent (or other responsible adult) whilst they attend any club activity. We actively encourage parents to get involved and support the junior in their pursuit of archery, even if they’re not shooting themselves.
Courses are run throughout the summer, at the club field on Osgodby Lane. They are on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Booking is required, so please contact us before turning up.
If you’re interested in giving archery a go. Please contact Neil via

We are happy to take your details for the beginners courses that will run in 2021. However, this is subject to change while we wait for guidance by Archery GB.
