Christmas Cracker Fun Shoot

It was a cold day when the sun broke for the annual Scarborough Archers Christmas Fun shoot. The 30 members braving the wintery weather, were thankful for Andy’s bonfire making skills yet again. Targets this year were the very festive Christmas trees, with all members shooting without sights, making conditions tricky and the excuses never ending. The longbow and flatbow group members learnt some new excuses to try out. John I, Ann, Adam and Becky scored enough to win prizes. Special mention goes to Toby for winning the costume competition, with his impressive Gandalf outfit.

The morning was rounded off with a Secret Santa shoot, where some fabulous prizes were won, manned by Leigh who ran “Arkwright Emporium” for the day.  Thanks go to John and Ann for organising mince pies, ginger cake and mulled wine .

Everyone at Scarborough Archers would like to wish all our members and their family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

N.B. Sorry for the lack of pictures, our resident in chief photographer (Colin) was away, and the backup photographer, was too busy eating Mince Pies.
