Soggy Scarborian Shoot

Saturday 10th December saw 16 archers turned up to shoot the third round of the Scarborian Hunter round,  on a very pleasant December afternoon, albeit a bit damp which meant that the competitors had to allow for slight increase in moisture in the air that would slow down the arrows (that’s Phil P. excuse anyway!).  We split up into three groups, starting at three separate points around the course, signalled by a single whistle blast as per normal procedure.  90 minutes later it was all done and dusted and the final scores were in.  Results are as follows:

Junior Girls – Eliza (who was shooting with only a 10lb draw bow had been handicapped by the very wet air)

Ladies – was won by Emma.

Junior Boys – (who complicated the matter by both scored exactly the same number of points and couldn’t be separated by the number of kills as that was exactly the same as well.  So Adam and Toby shared the spoils.

Senior Boys – George retained the trophy from last time.

Gentlemen – Colin G. (who did not seem to be affected by the extremely wet air!) left everyone else in the shade to take the trophy for the gentlemen.
