New Coaches

Scarborough Archers are proud to announce that two of the club members have recently qualified as level 1 archery coaches. Father and son, Neil and Philip Simms have been keen archers for five years and have been helping run the Scarborough Archers beginners courses for the last three years.
Over several months, Neil and Philip attended the level 1 course in Hull with several other trainee coaches. They learnt about how to teach many aspects of archery, concentrating on teaching beginners how to shoot reliably, as well as helping experienced archers to improve. They even had to practice shooting blindfold, so they could understand the challenges partially sighted archers face.
