Scarborough Archers held their end of outdoor season prize presentation and BBQ at Seamer Sports Association on Sat 6th Oct.
The event was well attended by members who all enjoyed a fun archery/darts competition, the junior members fared well in the early rounds, knocking out many experienced archers, only to be beaten by the eventual winner Roger Greaves.
The BBQ was organised by Derek Simpson, and was followed by the prize presentation.
The winner of the summer AMERICAN competition was Robin Little who received the trophy and gold medal, the silver medal was won by Roger Greaves and bronze medal by John Naylor.
The summer WARWICK competition was won by Robin Little, who again won the trophy and gold medal, the silver medal was won by John Naylor and the bronze by Paul Oates.
Qualification badges were awarded to Neil and Phil Simms, Robin Little and Derek Simpson There has been a significant increase in new members this year, mainly down to the hard work of Roger Greaves and his team of assistants running the beginners courses. The winter season now gets under way with the outdoor FROSTBITE competitions and PORTSMOUTH indoor competitions.
