The final round of the Frostbite competition was shot on sunday morning in glorious sunshine ( hardly frostbite weather ). The best scores on the day were : Robin Little – 304, Roger Greaves – 297 and Paul Oates -286 After six rounds, the best four scores total over the winter are : winner – gold medal and trophy – Robin Little 1206, second-silver medal – Roger Greaves 1174, and third- bronze medal – John Naylor 1166.
After six rounds of the indoor Portsmouth competition, the best four score totals are : winner – gold medal and trophy – Mark Breckon 2190, second-silver medal – Sarah Monteith 2168, and third-bronze medal – John Naylor 2141. Phil Simms took the medal for best junior. Thanks to all members who took part.
During the summer months, April to September, we shall be running two competitions along similar lines to the winter ones ( six rounds, best four scores to count ).
The sunday morning competition will be an ‘ American ‘ round ie. two and a half dozen arrows at 60, 50 and 40 yds.
The evening competition during the week will be a ‘ Warwick ‘ round ie. two dozen arrows at 60 and 50 yds Dates to be announced.
There will be a trophy for the winners and medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Scores in these competitions will count for classification badges.
Finally, due to football at Seamer on sunday 18th, shooting will be at McCains.
